PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black Braided, Size 4-0, 13" x 24" is a nonabsorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of natural silk protein filaments. The silk undergoes a series of purification processes to eliminate natural waxes and gums, enhancing its uniformity and reducing potential tissue reactivity. It is dyed black to improve visibility during surgical procedures and to facilitate identification during removal.

The suture is coated with a proprietary wax mixture that improves handling characteristics, reduces friction, and enhances knot security. This coating supports smooth passage through tissue while minimizing trauma and drag. The braided structure provides flexibility, suppleness, and consistent tensile behavior, allowing for reliable wound closure across various surgical disciplines.
